I am so torn on which to buy. The Tundra’s gas mileage is terrible. I know trucks get poor gas mileage but this is pretty extreme. The Tacoma is really nice but the back seats are really small.... I just wished they would find a way to increase the MPG’s of the tundra...

I feel like you guys down play the Toyota’s so much, my dad has a 2011 tundra and it burns ecoboosts, diesels, and other things all the time, he takes off fast, y’all take off going slow as hell

Do these guys know what a gas peddle does? Looks like they are going 45mph lol. My tundra and tacoma start wayyy faster than that lol.

I bought my wife a Tacoma for the reason that one she’s short two the value will never go down and 3 growing up my older brothers first car was a Toyota Yaris zero miles he’d take it to university in Austin tx and back home every weekend that car is now my little sisters has over 280 thousand miles and still runs like a CHAMP and she still goes to university as well. Forward years my brother is a civil engineer and still owns a Toyota car and Toyota Tundra truck too. Toyota is it guys don’t look back Toyota is the best brand out here.!

GREAT TRUCKS! I have both. Do you go with 4.7wt. Or 5.7wt, or 5.7SR5 Tundra, and or do you get the wt, and take out the back seat and build a shelf like I did? One could camp in the back of either, with a plywood floor, and no seat as well. Works great, quiet dry and warm. Oh, and don't warp the brakes. You get one hard stop-loaded. Rotors are not too expensive to replace though.

I was so close to buying a Tundra until I saw the small overlap crash testing:
I really enjoy walking and it doesn't look like id be walking away from a crash like this.
Keep in mind this is only at 40 MPH, so you can only imagine what it would look like at faster speeds...

I know a lot of truck guys and a lot of non truck / city guys that have Tacoma as their only vehicle and love them to death. However, I would buy with the purpose of towing a racecar to the track, so the Tundra would be the best option for me. The quality interiors on these are superb too. I wouldn't call them outdated, kind of like the Chevy LS, yeah it's been around for awhile, but when you build something this good, why change it?
