There were partys when we landed moses in 1982. The first preaseason game was against boston at the garden and it felt like game 7 ( we won)
There was a meet the press type show in first week of season, and one of the press types predicted that philly wouldnt lose a playoff game on the way to the title. He was close, and what a year we had.

That’s what a lot of young players should do, when I played everyone wanted to be a scorer/guard and we really didn’t have any clean up players. If they did they would make it a lot faster, why would schools pick up a player that’s already like the ones they have.

Cormel I agree and as a stated above, he never wanted to be an offensive player. Put all his effort into being a defender and knew his role.

Rodman was pretty good from the field, he just didn’t take many shots. He’s still one of the best PF imo & Malone’s a T-10 Center.

Moses was going to win a Finals at that time almost no matter what team he went to. He flat out was the best player in the league from '78-'83. Dr J, Kareem, Bird, and Magic were all a step behind.

+Lil Dagga KD joined the greatest reg season team ever with the mvp on it. A team most think would've beat the cavs had it not been for steph's injuries or dray's suspension. This is a team in the middle of establishing a dynasty with one of the most revolutionary players ever on it. That team added KD.

Sixers were trying to get over that final hump while Dr. J wasn't sniffing mvp honours and in his career's twilight. The two situations are different. Moses was the final piece on a contender, not the best team adding arguably the most offensively gifted scorer ever.
